Film Reviews: One of two docus that preemed at S.F. Gay Fest this year about the same San Francisco nightclub experience, Sasha Aickin's "Blood, Sweat, and Glitter" is a lively, likeable look at competitors for the title of Miss Trannyshack 2004. Colorfully assembled pic, which won the documentary audience award, should sashay extensively through the gay fest circuit.

The script is about a struggling writer who uses his own dating experiences with recent divorcees as source material for his next book.
