Hellboy Review Details

Hellboy review by Mark Finn - Revolution Review: "This is the first must-see geek movie of 2004. The faithful translation to film, coupled with del Toro's quirky visual style, made this some of the best eye candy I've seen since Spider-Man or X2. It's that good."

Hellboy ReviewOne interesting thing about this movie, although not really related to the Hellboy review, is the way in which it was marketed. Sony and best buy collaborated to distribute Hellboy trailers and other content on free DVDs across the US.

The following storyline review comes from the Hellboy website: Born in the flames of hell 60 years ago during World War II, Hellboy was brought to Earth by evil madman Grigori Rasputin to perpetrate evil. Destined to be a harbinger of the apocalypse, Hellboy was rescued by Allied Forces led by Professor Broom, founder of the clandestine BPRD (Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense), who raised him like a son and developed his extraordinary paranormal gifts. Despite his dark origins, Hellboy becomes an unlikely champion of good, battling the evil forces that threaten our world.

This movie better be better than Daredevil or I'm gonna cry.

Honestly, this movie really is good. It's a fun summer movie, a bit ahead of its time. Not quite ripe, but that is Guillermo Del Torro's style.

First off I love hellboy and all Mignola comics...like gotham by gaslight, when his style was developing into todays Mignola genius.
overall the movie is good, 80% my problems are the timing later on which slows drastically, and the strange editing from firestarting demon killing to hellboy and co. in captivity? missed a closure there.
but other than that. Honestly faithful to the comics. great intro scene, if only that energy was throughout the film...

that movie was the dumbest i've seen in a while, it was even lamer than daredevil, its sucked, dont bother watching it, i promise u, it sucked ass, and the acting sucked more than the stroy wich sucked too

This movie was awesome on many levels and deserves to be given a chance. The acting is very good and the characters are believable in a fantasy sort of way. Very recommended movie and it s***s all over Daredevil which was a lame ass movie in the first place.

Watched 10mins, all I could take before leaving the cinema. One of the worst pieces of rubbish ever.

Good Comic Translation to the Big Screen. If you don't like it, get a life. Comic book heros are the new trend!
