Welcome to Mooseport Review, Trailer & Snapshot
Welcome to Mooseport is a comedy about a small time plumber, played by Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond) who finds himself in a bid for mayor against former president Monroe, played by Gene Hackman (The Royal Tenenbaums). Romano's competition with Hackman for mayor of Mooseport is mirrored by their competition for the attention of Romano's girlfriend, played by Maura Tierny.
When the president's final term is up, he returns to Mooseport, his vacation home, where he plans to retire. Instead, the local residents encourage him to run for Mayor. Out of jealousy for Hackman's interest in Tierny, Romano decides he should run for mayor as well.
Set in a small New England town, Welcome to Mooseport is yet another story of the little local guy versus the big city out-of-towner whose vacation home is Mooseport. Fortunately, the lovable Ray Romano and box office veteran Hackman keep things interesting.
